Success through Social Media

The Social Media Club of Cache Valley (SMCCV) brings those involved in the potential and current prospects of social media in the business and scholastic realms together. “The meetings are for discussing and sharing ideas of the best uses of social media,” said President Parker. The goals of SMCCV are to gain sponsorship and eventually become a non-profit organization that can help local business and entrepreneurs use social media to their advantage through conferences, events, and guest speakers.

SMCCV is a chapter of the national Social Media Club based out of San Francisco, Calif. The organization was founded when seven members of the social media club in Salt Lake City found interest in the potential of social media in Cache Valley. Since its founding in August 2009, SMCCV has garnered between 40 and 60 members.

SMCCV meets every second Tuesday of every month. During every third month SMCCV has a “Tweet-up,” or a chance for member’s to meet and discuss each member’s positive social media experiences.
